My Story
Hi! My name is Hera. I am 9 years old when my mom and I started this business. Let me tell you a story. My story.
One day during school’s lunch time, I was eating roasted brussel sprouts my mom packed in my lunch box. A few of my friends were shocked. “How can you swallow that disgusting thing?” I looked like an alien.
I know few kids love veggies. I never thought about why, until one day my mom and I passed by baby food section at our local Whole Foods grocery store.
“Oh look at that fancy baby veggie pack!” I was surprised at so many attractive packages and choices, from plastic containers to glass jars. Mom explained that’s how babies get used to disgusting tastes so they don’t appreciate real foods such as veggies when growing older.
“Disgusting?” I could not believe that these beautiful packages contain disgusting foods. So mom bought one of each kinds and we got home to do our taste experiments.
This one, which has a cute bunny on it, says Banana, Mango, and Kale. Sounds good. Tastes bad. Looks horrible. The colour reminds me of rusted apple pieces. Where in the world is the taste of Kale?
That one, so-called the best of Earth, mixing rice with spinach. Sounds good. Taste bad. Looks equally horrible – it’s no where close to green. Where in the world is the taste of spinach?
Just think and ask yourself:
- Do real fresh veggies expire in a year or 2?
- Do you like to feed your baby the rusted apple? No. So why the rusted (oxidized) veggies and fruits are good for your baby? Just think about how long you can keep your avocado puree green.
- By disgusing veggies with sweet fruits, do you want your baby to taste the sweetness or the distinctive veggie?
With expiration dates beyond years, these baby foods got to be choked with preservatives, processed in an industrial production line, fully oxidized (just look at the colour) with no nutrients left for babies. Oh no! Babies deserve better!
REAL Veggies for Babies
We want REAL veggies for babies, the same way I was fed and my siblings were growing up with. How can we achieve that? We use my mom’s secret recipe to fast cook the organic veggies in a pure organic sauce mixture. Then we dehydrate them at low temperature before grinder them to powder. This fast cooking process makes the veggies natually sweet, and it breaks down the large chunk of molecules including protein and carb to smaller, easy-to-digest nutrients for babies. Just look at how I ate veggies when I was 6 months old (below), or at 2!
Each table spoon of HY Veggie Powder is equivalent to 1/4 cup of the fresh veggie
How to Feed Babies with HY Veggies
- From 6 months, add a table spoon of any HY Veggie to baby’s cereal bowl, just like how my mom did for me – it’s such a flavoured, delicious and nutritious meal.
- If you like to feed your baby with our root veggies as a meal, pour 5 parts of hot water or milk to 1 part of HY Veggie Powder. Let it sit for 5-8 minutes, taste yourself to confirm the temperature before feeding.
- DO NOT STEAL YOUR BABY’S FOOD, even it tastes so yummy!
